Artist-led workshops

We offer an exciting range of artist-led workshops suitable from Early Years through to Key Stage 5.

Explore new ways of looking, thinking and making with artists at The Hepworth in our range of practical workshops.

These skills-based workshops are led by professional artists who take students on a creative journey, gathering inspiration from artworks in the galleries and developing these ideas through creative work in our learning studios.

“Our pupils loved the workshop! They were engaged, they were thinking, they were creating” Year 4 teacher, Sandal Magna Community Academy

Workshop cost: £165 for Wakefield district schools / £185 for non-Wakefield district schools. All materials and resources are provided.

Duration: Two hours (Early Years workshops last for 1 hour 30 minutes).

Suitable for: Up to 33 students per workshop. Workshops are tailored to your group and key stage.

Book your visit: Fill in our online enquiry form to start your group booking to the gallery.

Our workshops support a broad and balanced curriculum and enhance student’s cultural capital. They link directly with the national curriculum and develop visual literacy and critical thinking through discussion.
